Bathroom soundproofing
We have a 1980s house with a downstairs WC/shower room, which we are about to have refurbished involving tiling the walls and new fittings. We would like to make this room more soundproof. The lightweight loose-fitting door is an obvious thing to improve but what else can be done to reduce the sounds heard in the rest of the house? Will tiling the walls make any difference?

Tiling the walls will make no difference whereas soundproofing the door will by installing one of the Acoustic Doorseal Kits that we offer. The noise generated in bathrooms and kitchens is due to the sound bouncing off all of the hard surfaces found in these areas. Sound absorbing tiles on the ceiling will help as would our Photosorption sound absorbing panels for walls. Click the following links to view the sound absorbing products that we can offer
