Hello. My builder is just about to order materials and begin constructing the Studio Wall system and has said the following things that made me nervous.
1. they want top cut the plasterboards in half to make them easier to handle
2. they don't want to stagger joints in the plasterboard
3. they want to staple the membrane between the plasterboard sheets instead of glueing
Can you comment on any negative impacts associated with each?
Thankyou.

I’m
confident
1. This will not be a problem as long as they are properly fixed.
2. Joints should be staggered to give additional strength and to avoid possible cracking at the joints.
3. This is often the preferred method of installers and will not affect the soundproofing performance of the finished wall. -
