external front door with leadlight
We live on a busy road and have a lovely wooden front door with a leadlight feature at the top of the door. The problem is that it lets a lot of traffic noise through. Having looked at the products, I can't see anything that might work for an external wooden door. Any suggestions gratefully received. I would like to keep the leadlighting if we could. I do not think it would work to put a pane of glass on the inside of the door as it would look odd. Any thoughts? Many thanks!

If you are unable to fit anything to the door to help reduce noise coming through it then I regret we cannot help. If you were able to fit an additional pane of laminated glass over the leaded lights on the inside of the door that would be the best you can do with the door itself. Other options if possible are to build a porch on the outside or an additional door on the inside.

Thanks for this. ,I wonder if it might look a bit odd to put a pane of glass over the leadlight. Could we perhaps fit something around the edges of the door, the sides, top and bottom of the door? Would that help?

You may be thinking of our Acoustic Doorseals but these are not suitable for fitting onto an outside door. Perhaps you could try good quality draft proofing seals?
