How do we soundproof a floor in a new extension?
after having a new extension built the bedroom is above the living room, every time someone walks in the bedroom you can hear the thudding noise in the living room and can hear th toilet flushing and hear conversations,if in the bedroom you can hear the tv and people talking clearly from below the living room, which product will stop the noise and vibrations?

I’m
confident
It would sound to us like little to no sound insulation has been installed in the extension.
You ideally need a product in the cavity space under the floor either our http://www.keepitquiet.co.uk/bronze-f... or our http://www.keepitquiet.co.uk/silver-f... then you need to treat on top of the floorboards.
The soundproofing you add on top of the floorboards will depend on your final floor, i.e carpet, laminate etc.
Have a look here http://www.keepitquiet.co.uk/soundpro... at out complete DIY systems to see which one best suits your needs. The Gold Carpet system is probably best for you if you have a carpet.
