I am interested to apply a sound insulation system in my sister’s bedroom, that currently lives in London.
The bedroom is located next to a busy road, having a bay, double glazing window (3 faces). Dimensions are 1.20 x 2.00 m (central one) and 60 x 2.00 m (side windows). The frame is made of wood.
We were thinking of either applying an acoustic curtain or perhaps installing a foldable, 3-piece panel, with some kind of acoustic foam/tiles. As the room is small, we have to come up with a solution that won’t take up much space.
We would be interested to hear your suggestion, along with a quotation note. Please do contact us if you need more details on the space.

Your idea of a foldable acoustic panel would work best for you and can be constructed from 18mm MDF and hinged so they do not take up too much space when not in use. A bit like the old Georgian type internal shutters. Once you have completed the shutters, line the sides that will be facing the window ehen closed with 25mm of our non-flammable sound absorbing foam SA25FRSA that is also self adhesive. These are available in sheets 1m x 1.5m and are easily cut to size with a sharp long bladed craft knife. -
