secondary glazing for low frequency/traffic sound
I wonder if anyone would know if there is any special type of glass that is specifically for low frequency sound insulation. The sort of noise I'm having trouble with is the rumble of buses and general traffic din. I don't mind too much about the vibrations, it's just when it's accompanied with sound. Btw, the windows are already double glazed. I heard that secondary glazing can bring out the low freqs! Is this true? Ta, for any help I get.

Regardless of the type of glazing already installed, the best solution for you is to install an additional glazing panel of laminated glass. The thicker the glass, the more efficient it will be.
