Sound Proofing a Boiler/Megaflow in the loft.
We have recently installed a boiler and a Megaflow in the loft, right above our bedroom. Which means we get woken each morning when the boiler fires up. The loft is part boarded, but I'm happy to take those board up if need be. What would you recommend in improve the soundproofing?

It is unlikely that you will be able to totally silence the noise from the boiler but you will need to take up the flooring in the loft and install more fibreglass type loft insulation and leave it exposed.
The main work though will entail fitting our Studio Ceiling System onto the existing ceiling using 50mm battens as shown on our web site. If ceiling height is not enough for this then all you can do is fit our Thin Ceiling System. Click the following link for more info on these
