Soundproofing rooms with party chimney breasts
I live in an Edwardian semi detached house with shared party wall and shared chimney breasts, and want to soundproof the adjoining party walls. Do you have any specific products/advice on dealing with the chimneys. It looks as if the walls can just be covered with soundproofing panels, and I like the fact that your products are quite thin but the chimneys will still be a problem. Grateful for any ideas.

Hi there,
Thanks for your question.
Generally speaking chimney breasts are built much thicker than partys walls and whilst we would suggest you cover them, many people only soundproof either side of the chimney.
Using our Thin Wall System http://www.keepitquiet.co.uk/thin-wal... will really help with noise problem. If the noise problem is loud music or base I suggest you use our Studio Wall System. http://www.keepitquiet.co.uk/studio-w...
I hope this helps. If you want to discuss this further I suggest you call our technical team on 0845 363 7131 -
