Hi,
I really hope someone is able to help as my neighbour is ruining my life & also my relationship. I've just moved in after 5 years of long painful work trying to do up my first house & after 2 weeks I've had to move out due to the noise.

My neighbour has laminate flooring and he has not put down any underlay so its wood on wood in his living room. His children who are 2, 3 & 9 run up and down the living room for 20 minutes with a 5 minute rest from 5 pm to 11.30 every single night & all day on the weekend. That's all we could hear. Along with the running noise we can now here every single word they say and here all there converstations. Please can you advise what we can do? I would like soundproofing done but cannot find anyone in our area to install it for us. As I would like to have soundproofing in the adjoining rooms next to my neighbour as we can hear everything but they can't hear us!

It's driving me insane and is ruining my relationship & my life. Please can you help?

The noise you are experiencing from your neighbours is typical when hard floor surfaces have been installed. As you mention you are living in a house we assume you are looking to soundproof your party wall. I suggest you have a read through our web page on this subject that will give you more of an understanding on what this will entail

Due to the extent of the noise you are experiencing we think the only viable solution for you is to have our Studio Wall System installed independent from the existing wall. This will take up just under 150mm of space so not too much. The next link will give you more info on this

Hi,

I live in Birmingham in the West Midlands & cannot find anyone in the area who is able to carry out the work for us. Do you know any approved installers that are able to assist?
